When building in MyAi, you will encounter multiple ways to execute tasks. Mastering these interaction paradigms is the key to scaling your impact.

1. Manual / Declarative Operations (Direct Tool Use)

How it works: You directly tell MyAi what tool to use and exactly what parameters to pass. This is like filling out a form with precise instructions. Example: 
canvas_editor(operation="create", title="My New Canvas", category="canvases", component="markdown", content="# My New Canvas Content")
You explicitly provide all details. When to use: For precise, repetitive tasks where you know exactly what you want. It’s efficient for automation and scripting once you’ve defined the exact parameters.

2. AI-Assisted / Generative Operations (Chat Interface)

How it works: You describe what you want in natural language, and the AI interprets your request, selects the appropriate tools, and fills in the details for you. Example:
“Create a canvas titled ‘Monthly Sales Report’ with a table of sales data and a bar chart showing regional performance.”
The AI will use canvas_editor behind the scenes but generate the specific content and component configurations based on your description. When to use: For complex or exploratory tasks where you might not know the exact tool parameters, or for quick prototyping and content generation. This mode leverages MyAi’s intelligence to bridge the gap between your intent and system execution.

3. AI-Only (Complex Orchestration & Conceptual Tasks)

How it works: Some operations require the AI’s ability to reason, contextualize, and orchestrate multiple underlying system calls—or to manage conceptual groupings that aren’t directly manipulable via a simple declarative command. Example:
“Create a skill named ‘Sales Toolkit’ for the ‘Sales’ dimension, including the ‘CRM Update’ function and the ‘Sales Dashboard’ canvas.”
While you could manually list all artifact IDs, the skills tool often works best with the AI interpreting the grouping and intent. Assigning skills to dimensions fundamentally alters the AI’s operational context, which is an intelligent, conceptual act. When to use: For tasks that involve managing metadata, relationships, or complex multi-step orchestrations that benefit from the AI’s interpretive layer.
This layered approach means you can be as precise or as high-level as your task demands, always leveraging the right level of intelligence from your MyAi partner.
